Frequently Asked Questions

How long can I keep my pipeline account?

Your Pipeline account is fully active and available to you while you are actively enrolled in courses. If you are not currently registered for the courses, restrictions may apply. The scenarios are shown below.

New or Old Students: The first time you open or reopen a Pipeline account when you enroll in college, you will have access to most features, but you will not be granted full access until you are enrolled in a course. Until then, the following restrictions apply:

  • Pipeline Email: Emails can only be sent and received to SBCC email accounts ([email protected] or [email protected]) to and from email accounts not sent or received.
  • Google Apps Pipeline: no access to Google Drive, docs, spreadsheets, forms, and slides.

The day after you register for the course, these restrictions will be removed and you will have full access.

If you do not enroll in the two regular semesters (spring or fall) and complete a course, the restricted account will be canceled and, if necessary, removed. (Note: study documents, personal data, certificates, etc. will not be deleted or saved in the admissions and files).

How many semesters and summer sessions does SBCC offer?

There are two semesters and two summer semesters. The fall semester begins in August and ends shortly before winter break in December. The spring semester begins in January and ends in May. Summer sessions last six weeks. The exact dates can be found on the academic calendar.

Can I access Pipeline from my mobile device?

While we recommend that you use a regular laptop or desktop as the first choice when doing business with Pipeline, using a few phones or tablets should be sufficient. However, since there are a variety of different products, apps, and devices, use a mobile device as you see fit.
